We are excited about the progress of our Grow It Forward micro-farm collaboration with St. Luke’s Orlando UMC. Grow It Forward is a network of micro-farms in Orange County where volunteers from congregations and communities work side-by-side with paid student farmers under the guidance of a Grow Orlando farm coordinator. Our St. Luke's location is our pilot micro-farm that has progressed to a successful farmer's market.
To buy local, fresh produce and plants or to learn more about the farmer's market, visit: growitforward.square.site
The farms currently operated through the Grow It Forward initiative include Finding the Lost Sheep's Impact Center in Winter Garden, St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Orlando, Orlando Baptist Temple in Pine Hills, and Shepherd's Hope in Winter Garden.
Expansion
Grow Orlando is also working side by side with the following organizations, farms, and gardens: landscaping and maintenance with the Winter Garden Community Garden, hydroponic farming with Oxford Farms in Lake County, hydroponic farming with Universal Orlando's horticulture department, and landscaping with Majestic Life Ministries.
We are always excited about collaborating with other organizations who are in alignment with our mission and vision. If you are looking to expand with us and join our network, email us at groworlando@gmail.com or call 407-283-1208.
